Schultz, Arlene F.
Arlene F. Schultz, 92, formerly of Livermore, Iowa, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012, at the Hiawatha Care Center, Hiawatha, Iowa. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Faith United Methodist Church, Livermore, where the family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time. The Rev. Walden Paige will officiate. Burial: Union Cemetery, Livermore. Arrangements with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her three sons, Ron (Alice) of Linn Creek, Mo., Gary (Jean) of Cedar Rapids and Denny (Betty) of Camdenton, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four nephews; and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Inez Swenson; husband, Dick; brother, Bill; and sister, Mildred.
Arlene was born Feb. 20, 1920, the daughter of Ernest and Inez (Danbom) Swenson in Livermore, Iowa. She graduated from Livermore High School and married Dick Schultz on Sept. 4, 1937, in Mason City, Iowa. They resided in Livermore, where they raised three sons.
Arlene was an active member of the Livermore Methodist Church, the WSCS and the church choir. She belonged to Eastern Star and was a member of the Humboldt chapter of Sweet Adelines. Arlene was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all of her family.
Memorials may be directed to the Faith United Methodist Church, Livermore, in memory of Arlene.
