Seu, Fong Thi Chau
Fong Thi Chau Seu, 84, of Carpentersville, Ill., died Sept. 24, 2009, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Ill., following a short illness. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are her children, Min Seu and wife Lan of Paris, France, Thai Seu and Khieng Seu, both of Carpentersville, Ill., Chen Seu of Schaumburg, Ill., Phing Seu and wife Leung of Hiawatha, Tsong Seu and wife Lisa of St. Petersburg, Fla., Khen Seu and wife Christina of Carpentersville, Ill., Ky Seu of Des Moines, Seng Seu and wife Ghin of Oakland, Calif., Hin Seu of San Francisco, Calif., Manh Seu of Des Moines and Jen Moy Seu of Carpentersville, Ill. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, My Koc Seu.
Fong Thi Chau Seu was born March 7, 1925, in Yen Bai, North Vietnam. She married My Koc Seu in 1947 in Vietnam. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially joking around with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards and the lottery.
