Plea for timely plowing

To the editor:
When did this city decide to wait until a snowstorm was done to start plowing? I know it has been like this for several years now, but Monday was not only ridiculous but dangerous.
Many of us do not have the option of waiting out the storm and need to go to work and when you get off you expect some progress has been made. Main roads were barely touched and side streets not at all at 6 p.m.
We have had one major storm this year so I am sure budget has not played a role yet and with all the city is wasting on bike lanes, flip-flopped streets, goofy art in Greene Square, giant flower pots in the street, and money they are making on the city sidewalk improvement patrol, I am sure we could have allocated a little to our city crews to do at least one midday pass through.
Wish things would change, but not hopeful with current leaders.
