Voters take the blame for leaders they elect
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Aug. 7, 2011 11:48 am
If we deplore the debacle in Washington the past few months, we need only look in the mirror for the real cause.
We elected a president who asked us to be the first-rate nation we advertise ourselves as. Then, we elected representatives who promised to oppose anything and everything that the president requested. In fact, their pledge was to cause this president to fail. What did we expect?
Now, I hear members of both parties blaming the president. I think the buck stops with us, the gullible public that believed the media ads paid for by the wealthy.
