Letter: Blum is changing Washington culture

Many political issues need to be addressed by Congress, one of the most important is the overall culture that has dominated Washington, D.C. for decades.
So much of the inaction, bad policies and partisanship that we have endured is from members of Congress being in office for too long, being showered with perks while they are there and becoming rich when they leave. The quickest thing we could do to get our government functioning again is to start having our elected officials consist of more Americans serving in Congress for a short time and then returning back home to live under the laws that they passed.
Since arriving in Congress, Rod Blum has made it clear that one of his biggest priorities is to get to the root of the problem in Washington, D.C. and change the culture and how business is done. He has created a Term Limits Caucus in the House and has pushed for a lobbying ban and for ending the perks of 1st class travel for members of Congress. He knows that changing the culture in our federal government is necessary and urgent and he's acted on it immediately.
Congressman Blum is the real deal and deserves our vote.
