Brown, Troy R.
Troy R. Brown, 31, of Stanwood, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. His body will be cremated after the service, with inurnment at a later date. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa, and sons, Xzavior, Oakley and Cohen, all of Stanwood; his mother and father, Frank and Terry Lyon of Clare; his lifelong mentor, Dave Wallace of Cedar Rapids; stepsisters, Tammy Alscott and Jessie Lyon, both of Fort Dodge; stepbrothers, Chris Lyon of Des Moines and Frank Lyon Jr. of Fort Dodge; and grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Brown of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carol Morrow.
Born June 4, 1978, in Cedar Rapids, he married Melissa Koberle there on Feb. 1, 2003. He had worked as an electrician.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
