Crock, Alreta M.
Alreta M. Crock, 84, of Olin, died Wednesday May 23, 2012, at Mercy Iowa City. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mechanicsville, with Father David Hitch officiating. Burial: Stanwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence.
Survivors include her sons, Doug of Rossville, Tenn., and Bill of Alvarado, Texas; daughters, Ellen (Wayne) Florang of Springfeild, Mo., and Alice Crock of Mesa, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and a son.
Alreta was born April 24, 1928, in Cedar County to Joseph and Mary Rhodes Cruse. She married Herbert Crock on Feb. 3, 1948, at Tipton. He died in October 1983.
Alreta was a member of the Cedar County Historical Society, St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Stanwood Lions.
