St. John, Arthur D.
Arthur D. St. John, 70, of Stanwood, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Stanwood Union Church with Pastor Phil Leipold officiating. Burial: Stanwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday Chapman's in Clarence.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; two sons, D. Scott (Amy) of Stanwood and Mike (Pam) of Stanwood; brothers, Jim (Pat) of Davenport, Joe of Clarence, John of Cedar Rapids, Tom (Teri) of Marion and Elmer (Kate) of Clarence; sister, Barbara Klemme of Clarence; mother-in-law, Ann Gottschalk of Clarence; and grandchildren, Laura, Ryan, Jenny, Ethan and Breylee St. John.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and father-in-law, Herman Gottschalk.
He was born March 12, 1942 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Earl and Elsie Stoecker St. John. He married Phyllis Gottschalk on Nov. 25, 1962, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden.
Arthur enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his coffee time with his buddies and Ditto's and Petromart.
