Americans are being misled on Medicare for all

Health care for all was first proposed in 1937. I read with great interest The Gazette's Aug. 9 Fact Checker article on 'Medicare for 'All” ads. But I was dismayed when it only covered 'wait time” claims. I feel Americans are being misled. If Medicare is such a wonderful program, I can't help but wonder if Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter or George W. Bush is on it. If all Americans 'deserve” health care, I want whatever President Donald Trump is covered by, free for me.

I suspect most working folks would object to going from their employer paid health care to 'Medicare.”

I pay $135.50 to have 80 percent of my medical covered after paying 2.9 percent of earnings since 1965? Many government/private sector employees pay nothing or little for one of those 'profit grabbing” private health care companies like Blue Cross Blue Shield, that often pays virtually everything?

My greatest concern is: currently the government pays health care providers so poorly; many are forced to restrict their number of Medicare patients. They reserve time for 'paying patients” to cover the bills. There won't be any?

If Medicare is so great, can I see Bernie Sanders's or Joe Biden's Medicare card? Is it their only health care provider? I can't wait to see a congressman sitting across from me in a waiting room for hours when we 'all” lose our preferred providers.
