Johnson, Clede LeRoy
A tribute written by Clede's daughter
Clede LeRoy Johnson, born June 29, 1935, in Filmore, Utah, in his grandmother's bed (a fact he was proud of), at the irreversible age of 77 years old, passed away peacefully at home in Van Horne on Sept. 4, 2012.
A diligent brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and recently, great-grandfather, he loved, worked, and lived the only way he knew and could - whole heartedly. In loving memory of our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, son, and friend whose life was filled with selfless service to others, quick-witted humor and a smile for everyone. His calm wisdom will be long remembered.
The legacy of his life well lived, left his family with much joy and happiness, memories to reflect upon always. Gone from his earthly care, his soul set free, a man of many talents and gifts to share cultivated in those who survive him, a good work ethic and strong spirit.
Clede is survived by his children, Shemane L. Davis, April R. Johnson, Eulesa Colleen Johnson, and Jennifer S.H. Gregory; grandchildren, Daniel C. Gosenberg, Colby Neagle, Jordan J. Smith, Dalton J. Hampson, and Wendi Li Johnson; great-grandson, Anderson J. Neagle; his brothers, Loren Johnson and wife, Martin Johnson and wife, Sonja, who is also Clede's foster daughter, and Harold Johnson; and their spouses and extended family.
Farming, fencing, roofing, construction, dairy, never idle, finally free to fly!
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Belle Plaine branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1514 First Ave., Belle Plaine, which will be followed by a luncheon.
