Griffin, Gregory W.
Gregory W. Griffin, 81, of Shellsburg, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Private family inurnment at a later date.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marcia; daughter, Gayle (Jeff) Beary of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Jennifer Bosen, Julie (Shawn) Garringer and Jannell (Heath) Harman; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Della Donovan, Gen Lageson, Jack (Hope) Griffin and Karen (Dean) Drew.
Gregory was preceded in death by his parents; and sons, Gene and Gary Griffin.
Born Nov. 1, 1929, in Spring Grove, Minn., Gregory was the son of John and Vernie (Lane) Griffin. On June 6, 1960, he was united in marriage to Marcia Dwyer. He was employed by Cryovac in the shipping department.
The family wants to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Mercy for their support and care.
