Hennessey-Renken, Daryl Michael
Daryl Michael Hennessey-Renken, 46, of Jacksonville, Ill., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died at home Nov. 25, 2010. Services, 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at Williamson-Airsman-Hires Funeral Home, 1405 Lincoln Ave., Jacksonville, IL 62650. Burial: Jacksonville East Cemetery. Visitation: noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his spouse, Donald Hennessey-Renken; his parents, Ron Macal of Marion and Wanda Renken of Cedar Rapids; brother, Dale Renken of Savannah, Mo.; and his dog, Jake Michael Renken.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Merle Renken Sr. and Evelyn Renken Stodola; aunt, Mardelle Kisner; and uncle, Merle Renken Jr.
He was born Aug. 4, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Wanda K. Renken and Ron Macal. He married Donald Hennessey Jr. on Sept. 18, 2010, in Cedar Rapids, and he survives. Daryl attended Kirkwood Community CollegeCulinary Arts program, and was a cook at the Jacksonville Country Club for nearly eight years.
He enjoyed fishing, casino gambling, traveling, and playing Santa for his nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces, as well as needy and sick children.
