A Marengo man was hurt when he lost control of a motorcycle Tuesday during a driving test in Cedar Rapids, police said.
Adam Frost, 36, suffered head injuries when he crashed around 2:45 p.m. while testing on the north side of the Iowa Department of Transportation driver's license station, 152 Collins Rd. NE, police said. According to the officer's report, Frost was not wearing a helmet when he flipped his 2005 Suzuki motorcycle and it landed on top of him.
Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said Frost's injuries were "significant," but did not know if they were life-threatening.
Frost was taken to St. Luke's Hospital and later transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A hospital spokeswoman said there was no information available on his medical condition Wednesday afternoon.
