Cadwallader, Lorraine A.
Lorraine A. Cadwallader, 59, of 407 Main St., Palo, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at her home after a long illness. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cedar Rapids. Pastor David Bissell will officiate. Inurnment: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Dye; three daughters, Bernice Cadwallader of Cedar Rapids, Colleen Kuchta of Atlanta, Ga., and Connie (Mark) Bennison of Southlake, Texas; three stepsons, Dennis (Amber) Dye Jr. of Mesa, Ariz., Quentin (Ving) Dye of Faribault, Minn., and Shannon (Cindy) Dye of Reno, Nev.; her father, Brijio (Lupe) Avila of El Paso, Texas; brothers, Larry and Domingo; and sisters, Sally, Katie, Tina, Nancy, Francis, Phyllis and Chapa. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother; a sister, Pauline; a brother, Kenny; and a son, John.
Lorraine was born March 5, 1950, in Denver, Colo., the daughter of Brijio and Josephine Avila. She was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Lorraine was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her beloved family.
A memorial fund has been established in Lorraine's name.
