Steinkuehler, Douglas Todd
Douglas Todd Steinkuehler, 46, died unexpectedly Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at his home in rural Marengo. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with the Rev. Bev Thompson-Travis officiating. Burial will be in Genoa Bluff Cemetery, rural Ladora. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dow City, with a wake service at 7 p.m., and 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kloster Funeral Home in Marengo.
A memorial fund has been established.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry; a son, Brandon Douglas Steinkuehler of Peterson and fiancee Laurie Walburg; a stepson, Scott Schade of Ladora; a stepdaughter, Stephenie Peska of Ladora; his father, Orville Steinkuehler (Gwen) of Dow City; four sisters, Joan Favro of Chehalis, Wash., and Linda Wood (Duff), Pat Ettleman and Sherri Hast (Lynn), all of Dow City; and four brothers, Steve (Leslie) of Prophetsville, Ill., Joe (Karen) of Denison, Jim (Starla) of Dow City and Marty Dwine of Dow City.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Dwine Steinkuehler.
