Worden, Robert
Robert Worden, 62, of Iowa City, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at his home. Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bob's memory.

Robert Eugene “Bob” Worden was born Jan. 10, 1951, in Fulda, Minn., the son of Alvin and Bernice (Haberman) Worden. His family moved to Iowa City, where he attended schools, graduating from City High School in 1969. For over 20 years he worked for ADS of this area, and before his retirement worked for HWH Steel of Moscow, Iowa for 15 years.
Bob enjoyed life, he was never a tall man, short in statue but huge in spirit! He liked fishing, collecting coins, working around cars old and new, listening to country music and oldies on the radio, but most of all, his family and friends were his world. He loved being “Grandpa” to little Jenny!
His family includes his daughter, Jessica Worden of Stanwood; granddaughter, Jenny Morning; his siblings, Kathleen Richardson of Iowa City, Mary (James) Morrill of Brandon, Fla., Richard (Gloria) Worden of North Liberty, Roger (Phyllis) Worden of Okabena, Minn., Thomas (Darla) of Mankato, Minn., David (Julie) Worden of Fulda, Minn., Mark (LuAnn) of North Liberty and Charles (Ursula) of Farmington, Iowa; brother-in-law, Dale Sanderson of Iowa City; sister-in-law, Delien Worden of Westbrook, Minn.; as well as 26 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ronald, Ted, Daniel and James; sister, Janet Sanderson; several nieces and nephews, including Alan Worden; brother-in-law, Bob Richardson; and his sister-in-law, Nancy Worden.
