Neva Joan Harwood, also known as Joan, passed away peacefully at Brookhaven Community Estates in Brooklyn on Oct. 19, 2016, at age 85.
Born Neva Joan Bollinger on Sept. 30, 1931, in Kansas City, Mo., she was a longtime resident of Guernsey and the Brooklyn area.
She is survived by her son, Robert Buchenau of Cedar Rapids, and her grandson, Adam Buchenau of Des Moines.
No memorial services will take place at this time. Her ashes will be scattered in her beloved Missouri at a later date.
