People deserve the same rights

The Kansas City Star guest editorial published March 23 has many good points. Now, I have never had any personal experience in dealing with the Westboro Baptist Church. I have, however, heard many hateful things about it on television and the Internet. The main knowledge I have about the church's goal is that it is to prevent same-sex marriage and the gay rights movements.

I fully support same-sex marriage and gay rights. I believe that the church's message and goal is absurd. Homosexuals are human beings and deserve the same rights as everyone else. Today's society gradually is starting to accept homosexuality.

I wholeheartedly agree that, in the end, love always comes out on top.
