Iowa running back Adam Robinson grew up in a single-parent home in Des Moines. He was a grayshirt until a late recruit didn't show. He was a safety. He knows he's not your first choice, but that's OK. It just makes the chip on his shoulder that much deeper. Here he also talks about his no fumbles. Bottomline, you can trust Adam Robinson.
Iowa WR Marvin McNutt talks about DJK and their relationship. He also talks about QB Ricky Stanzi and his prodigious video study and what that means for the offense.
Iowa TE Allen Reisner is asked about QB Ricky Stanzi's work in the video department and how that gives Iowa's offense options. He also talks about the importance of video study for college football players.
SS Tyler Sash talks about tackling Adam Robinson in practice. There is no tackling of Adam Robinson in practice. (Sash would like to tackle backup QB James Vandenberg.) Also, Sash talks about what it's like to tackle Wisconsin's 260-pound running back John Clay. "It's probably like tackling [Iowa strength and conditioning coach Chris] coach Doyle."
Iowa QB Ricky Stanzi doesn't particularly care for the line of questioning on the Heartland Trophy. He seems to be more wrapped up in what's exactly ahead for the Hawkeyes. Also, Stanzi is asked about what he's doing well. He doesn't really think about that, he said. Also, some stuff here on RB Adam Robinson.
Here, it's the video study question for QB Ricky Stanzi. First, he goes over his class schedule. After hearing what it is, you might understand why Stanzi is able to spend a ton of time on film this fall. He said it, not us.
Redshirt freshman fullback Brad Rogers found himself in the front seat at fullback last Saturday. He said he enjoys blocking for RB Adam Robinson because Robinson is as humble as they come.
On last week's Kirk Ferentz TV show, Iowa video guy Jerry Palmer put together a story on DT Christian Ballard. There was some great video of Ballard playing the cello, an instrument he's played all his life. Ballard is an art major who bases a lot of his work in religious themes. He holds God and good deeds close to his heart.
This is Tyler Sash smiling at the prospect of getting his hands on backup QB James Vandenberg, a high school rival of his who is versed in the talk of smack.
