Accident sends three to hospital, one to jail

CEDAR RAPIDS - An early morning accident sent three people to the hospital and one man to jail.
Linn County Deputies were called to FB & Company just after 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Deputies say they found three people that had been hit by a truck there.
Officials say the driver, 22-year-old Jarrod Scott Tessendorf was arrested for operating while intoxicated, careless driving, no proof of insurance, and three counts of willful injury.
54-year-old Steven Clarke of Central City was taken to Mercy Hospital with what authorities believe were non-life threatening injuries.
39-year-old Henry Gerhold, also of Central City, and Benjamin Silver of Anamosa were taken to St. Lukes Hospital with what officers believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
It is unclear whether Tessendorf was injured in the accident.
