Lohse, Harvey
Harvey Lohse, 98, of Wheatland, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Wheatland Manor. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheatland, with the Rev. John Cofield officiating. Burial: Pine Hill Cemetery, Wheatland. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Chapman Funeral Home, Wheatland.
Survivors include his sons, Eldon (Phyllis) Bowers of Eldridge, Russ (Leanna) Bowers of Plainview and Tommy (Kathy) Bowers of Hills; daughters, Cecelia Schulz of Iowa City, Pam Fitzgerald of Lowden and Sandy Rung of Wheatland; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; son, Emmett; daughter, Lynn; six brothers; and one sister.
Harvey was born July 14, 1915, at Durant, Iowa, to Frederick and Cecelia Larson Lohse. He married Dorothy Steinke on Dec. 28, 1964, in Illinois. She died on Nov. 15, 2005.
