If you've visited Google's homepage today, you noticed that today's Google was created by the winner of this year's Doodle 4 Google contest.
“Space Life,” created by Matteo Lopez, was the winner of this year's contest. Matteo is a second grader from California.
Iowa City West High School freshman Jason Uhm was one of 40 regional finalists in this year's competition. Uhm's design, “Searching for the Stars,” was selected from more than 107,000 entries nationally.
The public was invited to vote on the 40 regional finalists, with those votes determining the four finalists. Google said five million were cast.
All finalists were in New York yesterday to find out the winner of this year's contest.
