Janele E. Roling, 43, of Marion, went to be with her Savior on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Murdoch Funeral Home, Marion. Funeral services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Cedar Valley Bible Church, Cedar Rapids, conducted by Pastor Joel DeSousa. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Janele is survived by her husband, John; her children, Katelyn and Benjamin; parents, Terry and Marilyn Moe; brother, Shannon (Angela) Moe and their children; father- and mother-in-law, John and Juanita Roling and their families; and loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a son, Zachary David Roling; and grandparents, Wayne and Grace Grady and Lloyd and Charlotte Moe.
Janele was born Sept. 6, 1972, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Terry and Marilyn (Grady) Moe. She graduated from Linn-Mar High School in 1990. Janele earned her bachelor's degree in special education-severe/profound disabilities from the University of Northern Iowa in 1994. On May 30, 1992, she married John Roling at Cedar Valley Bible Church in Cedar Rapids.
Janele had a lifelong passion for children with special needs. From high school until she was physically unable, she worked with these children through Arc. Janele fellowshipped at Cedar Valley Bible Church.
Janele had a deep and abiding love for her Savior which sustained her through her many physical challenges. She loved contemporary Christian music. She treasured activities with her family, time with her father and trips to Disney World.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Arc of East Central Iowa or Cedar Valley Christian School Fine Arts program.
