Funeral services for Janet Louise Sheets, 78, of Tipton, who died Feb. 18, 2014, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Pastor Jonathan Smith will be officiating. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Tipton Masonic Cemetery.
A general memorial fund has been established in memory of Janet.

Janet was born July 13, 1935, in Rochester, Iowa, the daughter of Archie and Zella F. Figgins Yerington. On July 3, 1954, Janet was united in marriage to Keith Henry Hamiel and later married Robert Sheets.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Tipton Bible Church.
Janet is loved and survived by her daughters, Rebecca A. (Rick) Peters of Muscatine, Teresa J. Hamiel of Marion and Crystal (Bruce) Weitz of Ankeny; sons, James (Adzo) Hamiel of Leicester, England, Mark Hamiel of Tipton and Brian (Sandi) Hamiel of LaSalle, Ill.; and grandchildren, Chad Laucamp, Meridel Weitz, Victoria Hamiel, Christina Hamiel, Jonathan Weitz and Braden Hamiel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; sister, Mildred Witmer; and brothers, Howard, Charles, Harry, Donald and Vernon.
