Caldemeyer, June M.
June M. Caldemeyer, 91, of Gladewater, Texas, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, in Tyler, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. Dan Sanford of the First Church of the Open Bible will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are her children, Shirley Wensel, Edith Elder, Janet Willett, Jim Caldemeyer, Rick Caldemeyer and Ron Caldemeyer.
She was a loving grandmother to 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James L. Caldemeyer Sr.; and children, Phyllis Ann Caldemeyer and Samuel Rudolph Caldemeyer.
June was born June 16, 1919, in Fiatt, Ill., the daughter of Frank and Della (Cook) Postin. She was united in marriage to James Lewis Caldemeyer and he preceded her in death in 1976. She was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible. She enjoyed time spent with family especially her many grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
