Conrey, June
June Conrey, 69, of Marion, died gracefully after fighting a long courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice Home of Mercy in Hiawatha. Per June's wishes, there will be no services at this time.
Survivors include her son, Geoffrey (Barb) Rigabar of St. Louis; her daughter, Desiree (Clay) Brown of Marion; and six grandchildren, Allison, Kaitlin, Jennifer, Megan, Ryan and Grace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, David Conrey.
June was born May 16, 1940, in Fairfield, to George and Margaret (Breeden) Conrey. An avid lifetime learner, June's legacy continues in the lives of the children she touched during her 42 years of teaching. June's favorite pastimes were reading, traveling, gardening, sewing, needlework and spending time with her family. She was never at a loss for something to do.
