Sargent, LaVern 'Sarg'
LaVern “Sarg” Sargent, 69, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 2, 2013.
Survivors include his wife, Ronna Sargent of Strawberry Point; four children, Tim (Monica) Sargent of Central City, Rob (Sheryl) Sargent of Strawberry Point, Jeff (Kristy) Sargent of Lamont, and Kelly (Steve Meyer) Sargent of Strawberry Point; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Terry (Jen-Hong) Sargent of Coralville; one niece, Marguerite; brothers-in-law, Frayne (Joyce) Horstman of Elkport, Kyle (Michelle) Horstman of Cedar Rapids, and Kevin (Cheryl) Horstman of Hopkinton; and one sister-in-law, Judy (Skeet) Albertsen of Oklahoma.

Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Strawberry Point, Iowa. Officiating: Pastor Scott Roser
Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point and also one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
Interment: Cass Township Cemetery, Strawberry Point, Iowa.
