Marvin W. Hamlett, 89, of Strawberry Point, died Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Hamlett of Strawberry Point; five children, Janet (Danny) Bockenstedt and Jerry (Larita) Hamlett, both of Strawberry Point, Kent (Irene) Hamlett of Ankeny, Cindy (Jerae) Buechler of Eden Prairie, Minn., and David (Wendy) Hamlett of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, JoAnn Miller of Manchester.

Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, at Mission in Christ Lutheran Church (held at the Methodist Church, 202 W. Mission St.) in Strawberry Point, with the Rev. Gary Burkhalter officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment with military rites: Cass Township Cemetery, Strawberry Point.
