James Lawrence Hill, 54, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at his home in Garrison, with his family by his
side, following a courageous battle with cancer. Me-morial services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton, with Pastor Matt Hantz officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Geo. G. Hardinger American Legion Post 475 at Garrison Cemetery on Tuesday.
