Thompson, Geraldine F. (Ulin)
Geraldine F. (Ulin) Thompson, 93, of Anamosa, died Friday, June 25, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a lengthy illness. Memorial services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Anamosa First Baptist Church by Pastor Ron Thatcher. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Born May 10, 1917, in Koekuk County, the last of six children, she was the daughter of Levi and Ethel (Jacobs) Ulin. She married Clifford A. Thompson of Anamosa on Oct. 16, 1937. She worked at Rockwell-Collins for many years and was a cook at Anamosa High School.
She is survived by her daughters, Kay (Dick) Liercke of Center Point and Sandy Hagen of Anamosa; three grandsons, Mike (Kris) and Mark (Tina) Liercke and Eric Hagen; and four great-grandchildren, Zach, Ryan and Rachel Liercke and William Connelly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford in 1990; son, Richard Ulin in 2009; four brothers and a sister.
