Sjulin, David A.
David A. Sjulin, 61, of Marion, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Pastor Linda Livingston. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Deb; daughter, Sarah Sjulin (Alex Culver); son, Alex Sjulin (Brynn Brinkman); mother, Mary Sjulin; sister, Linda (Mike) Pickett; brother-in-law, Craig (Patricia) Goetz; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father.
David was born Sept. 20, 1952, the son of Robert and Mary (Million) Sjulin in Hamburg, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University. On March 2, 1975, he married Debra Goetz in Des Moines. David worked at Alliant Energy for over 25 years.
He enjoyed golfing, antiquing, walks, cooking, traveling, reading, and spending time with family.
