Hefflefinger, Larry Dale

Larry Dale Hefflefinger, 64, passed away peacefully in his home Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, April 19, at Brosh Chapel, 100 S. Cedar St., in Solon, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral for immediate family will be held Saturday, April 20, with burial at Anderson Cemetery in Swisher.

Larry was born Dec. 6, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He married his wife, Rita, in 1969 and they had two children, Alex (Tracy) Hefflefinger and Sara (Matt) Hoskins. He retired from B.G. Brecke Inc. after 32 years of employment.

Larry will be missed dearly by his loving wife; his children; his six grandchildren, Katie and Jake Hefflefinger, and Allie, Olivia, Cooper, and Isabella Hoskins; his mother, Jeanne Brubaker; his grandmother, Jeanette Haymond; his brothers, Steven (Debbie) Hefflefinger and David (Kathy) Hefflefinger; sisters, Donna (Art) Reynolds and Lynn Struck; and 10 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Hefflefinger; his stepfather, Jack Brubaker; his brother, Gary Hefflefinger; and his great-grandmother, Louise Townsend.

Larry loved his family and his farm in Missouri. He had a quick wit and great sense of humor.
