Man with gun takes purse from Marion home

UPDATE: Police said a man with a handgun stole a purse from a Marion residence Sunday night.
Officers responded at 7:20 p.m. to the home invasion at 1335 A Ave. Lt. Scott Elam said a man entered the home, displayed the gun to two of the three people inside and snatched a purse before he took off.
Elam said it was an “in-and-out” robbery. No one was hurt.
“The way it sounds, there wasn't much of a conversation,” Elam said.
Asked whether the residents knew the person, Elam declined to comment. He said detectives were still looking into the case.
No arrests have been made. Police declined to release a description of the suspect.
