Jean E. McMann, 79, of The Woodlands at The Meth-Wick Community, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, where family and friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born in Hardscrabble, Iowa, on July 12, 1936, to Henry and Clara (Zeadow) Bader. She graduated from Monticello High School in 1954. On Aug. 3, 1957, she married Richard "Dick" McMann, and they had four children. She worked at St Matthew's School and later Target. In retirement, Dick and Jean wintered in Apache Junction, Ariz.
She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Randy) Lindorfer of St. Paul, Minn., Carla Gore of San Diego, Calif., and Sheila (David) Cronbaugh of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren, Matt Lindorfer, Amanda Lindorfer, Caroline (Nick) Holicky, Dominic (Amanda) Gore, Anthony Gore, Matt Gore, Nicholas Gore and Noah Cronbaugh; and two beautiful great-granddaughters, Annmarie and Delaney. She also is survived by her twin sister, Joyce (Lee) Benton of Anamosa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick, in 2005; her very special son, Gregory, in 2014; and her brothers, Ray and Paul Bader.
She resided at Keystone Cedars for nine years and at Meth-Wick since April 2016.
Thank you to everyone who cherished her life. We appreciate all the great care she received.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to Camp Courageous.
