Stewart, Walter 'Gene'
Walter “Gene” Stewart, 83, a resident in the Meth-Wick community for 17 years died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at the Woodlands nursing home. He had been diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor in November 2011. Private family services were held at Cedar Memorial Dec. 27.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois “Sally” Stewart; their sons, Scott (Susan) of Plainfield, Ill., Steve (LuAnn) of North Liberty, and Tom of Boston, Mass.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Meth-Wick Community.
