He was preceded in death by his parents.
Don was born Nov. 28, 1936, the son of Fred and Anna (Lnenicka) Nederhiser, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A graduate of Mount Vernon High School, he opened his own garage called "Don's Garage" during his junior year. Don served with the Iowa National Guard. On May 28, 1966, he was united in marriage to Gail Bader at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Don and Gail raised their family and farmed side by side on the family's Century farms.
Don worked hard all his life. He was "born to farm" and enjoyed mechanics. Don always had more work than time, but would not have chosen any other life.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Ghosh and UnityPoint Hospice for their loving care.
