Secor, Leland Windsor
HIAWATHA - Leland Windsor Secor, 86, of 1110 Bowler St., Hiawatha, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, in his home. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his granddaughter, Kim Hubbard of Cedar Rapids; his grandson, Christopher Hubbard of Hiawatha; and many great-grandchildren.
Leland was preceded in death by his wife, Jane; parents; daughter, Jacquelin Hubbard in November 2009; and brother, Richard Secor.
Leland was born Sept. 2, 1924, in Des Moines, Iowa. On May 3, 1947, he was united in marriage to Jane Mitchell. Leland served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II for which he received two purple hearts. He retired from Firestone and later worked for First Assembly of God, a place that he truly loved.
