Atkinson, Wilma Jane
Wilma Jane Atkinson, 91, of Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at the Washington County Hospital following a short illness. Celebration of life services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at the United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Stiles officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa.
Wilma is survived by her daughter, Becky Nardy and husband Dennis of Creston; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Susanne Williams of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; brothers, Stan “Tommy” Richards of Pauleys Island, S. C. and Jerry Richards of Fort Worth, Texas; and brother-in-law, Charles Atkinson of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1999; daughter, Marsha Lindemann in 2005; two brothers, John Richards and Leland Swift; and a great-grandchild.
