Hollopeter, Forrest Dean 'Bud'
Forrest Dean “Bud” Hollopeter, 84, of Ladora, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at the Marengo Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Ohio Cemetery, rural Ladora, with military honors. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.
Memorials may be contributed to the Ladora Fire Department and Ladora First Responders.
Dean is survived by his wife, Beatrice; a son, Larry of Ladora; two daughters, Susan Johnson (Jim) of Ladora and Patsy Imhoff (Jerry) of Marengo; four grandchildren, Eric Johnson of Tiffin, Brandy Enochson (Troy) of Marengo, Matt Imhoff of Marengo and Cindy Johnson of Changzhou, China; and two great-grandchildren, Beau Enochson of Ames and Brice Enochson of Marengo.
Also surviving are a sister, Betty Hollopeter of Ladora; two brothers, Charles (Jo) of Williamsburg and Floyd “Bill” of Ladora; and a sister-in-law, Dolores Hollopeter of Victor; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Oscar Hollopeter and Laura Ida Slaymaker Hollopeter; two brothers, Lawrence and Frank; two sisters, Hazel and Mary Hollopeter; and a sister-in-law, Mardean Hollopeter.
