Dolores Norene Runquist, 86, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at
Mercy Medical Center. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Me-morial Park Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials in Dolores' honor may be directed to the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
Dolores is survived by her loving husband, Delmar Runquist of Cedar Rapids; a son, Randy (Janice) Runquist of Knoxville, Iowa; sister, Betty Strauss of Holiday, Fla.; two grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
Dolores Norene Runquist was born Aug. 6, 1928, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Cecil and Elsie (Pidima) Groff. She married Delmar Runquist on Feb. 11, 1956, in Cedar Rapids. Dolores graduated from Roosevelt High School. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, flowers, her many pets and spending time with family. Dolores was a very faithful fan of Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball teams and professional baseball.
She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
