Burch, Diane Roberson
Diane Roberson Burch of Solon, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013.
She was born in New Hampton, the daughter of Harvey and Elouise Roberson. She graduated from New Hampton High School and Iowa State University with a major in Agricultural Journalism. After graduation, she worked in editorial capacities for the Kansas City Pack newspaper, New England Horticultural Society, The Connecticut Bank and Trust Company, Connecticut Light and Power Company, Northeast Utilities and after moving back to the Midwest, she worked as manager of the Galena Print Center, for the Eagle Window and Door Company and as a guide at the Belvedere Mansion in Galena, Ill.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Donald; a daughter, Sarah Jane (Marty) Gordon; a brother, Robert (Marcia) Roberson; sisters, Jean Cutsforth, Betty (Robert) Arndt, Suzanne (Stewart) Stover and Sara (Wayne) Haskovec; sister-in-law, Barbara Burch; and many nephews and nieces.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at the First Presbyterian Church, Mount Vernon.
Memorials may be sent to Heifer Project; ASPCA; or the memorial fund at the First Presbyterian Church.
