Hendricks, Diane E.

Diane E. Hendricks, 61, of Monticello, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, peacefully at her home. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, at Monticello Baptist Church, where a memorial service will commence at 11 a.m. A luncheon will follow at the church.

Diane was born Oct. 27, 1949, in Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Cletus and Geraldine (Trousdale) Eike. She married Ron Hendricks on Aug. 30, 1969, in Hopkinton.

Diane is survived by her husband, Ron; her sons, Brian Allen Hendricks and Robert David Hendricks, both of Monticello, and Benjamin Michael Hendricks of Williamsburg, Va.; two granddaughters, Courtney Lynn Hendricks and Emily Kay Hendricks; one grandson, Cody Allen Hendricks; and two brothers, Douglas Eike of Fremont, Calif., and Daniel Eike of Minneapolis.

Diane was a devoted mother, grandmother and homemaker who loved spending time with her family and took great joy in their lives.

She avidly pursued crocheting, scrapbooking, and sharing crafts with family and friends.

She will be greatly missed by her beloved Yorkie, Beau.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made in Diane's memory or to a charity of one's choice.
