Wuchter, Marcella Marietta
Marcella Wuchter Marcella Marietta Wuchter, 99, of Manchester, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, following a sudden illness. She was born Aug. 9, 1910, the daughter of Theodore and Mary (Hittenmiller) Reittinger.
Survivors include her two daughters, Betty Jane Werner of Manchester and Shirley Ann (Joe) Verkler of Davenport; nine grandchildren, JoAnn Besler of Manchester, Patty (Duane) Conrad of Manchester, Bonnie (Al) Nurre of Delhi, Karen (Reg) Van Dusseldorp of Colfax, Gary (Julie) Werner, Rick Werner, Steve (Cathy) Werner, Kevin (Marjie) Werner, all of Manchester, and Thom (Jen) Scheetz of Bettendorf; five stepgrandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Vi Feldman of Delhi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; infant son, Melvin; son-in-law, Jim Werner; a grandson, Mike Scheetz; and two sisters, Berneice Wuchter and Germaine Maiers.
Mass of Resurrection:
10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ryan with the Rev. John Flaherty as celebrant. Friends may call from 3 to
8 p.m. today at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home & Crematory in Manchester, where a rosary will be recited at
4 p.m. and Scripture service at 7:30 p.m., and after
9:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment: 1:30 p.m. at St. Francis Cemetery in Dyersville.
