Arlene M. Prane, 63, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, in her home. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with the Rev. Phillip Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be at 4 p.m.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph; sons, Scott of Cedar Rapids, Matthew (Ann) Prane and their children, Daniel, Jacob, Jason and Samuel, of Sneads Ferry, N.C., and Bradley (Aracely) Prane and their children, Denise and James "Mikey," of Aurora, Colo.; and brothers, Ronald Dziagwa and Rick (Karen) Dziagwa, both of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Arlene Marie Dziagwa was born March 5, 1951, in Chicago, the daughter of Walter and Jane (Zurawski) Dziagwa. On June 5, 1977, she married Ralph Louis Prane in Chicago. Arlene owned and operated a daycare in her home for many years.
