Tonda Marie McReynolds, 47, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully in her home Saturday, May 3, 2014, after a long illness. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at CVCSS, located at 116 27th St. NE, Cedar Rapids. The family invites all who were blessed to know Tonda to come. Tonda was a wonderful and loving person who had a lot of adopted family and friends.
Survivors include one son, Toby Smith and wife Kristine; three daughters, Tamanda Smith and Tara McReynolds, both of Cedar Rapids, and Tasha McRey-nolds of Mason City; two sisters, Teri Owens of North Liberty and Tina Owens of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Todd Hamor of Cedar Rapids and Danny Owens Jr. of Grinnell; two devoted sisters-in-law, Courtney Adkins and Tracey Doyle; several nieces and nephews and cousins; seven grandchildren; and her beloved wife, Diane.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents, Betty and Danny Owens; sister, Tamie Smith; aunt, Nancy Adams; granddaughter, Kearney Davidson; and many dear close friends.
The family wants to especially thank all home workers, therapists and medical staff at Mercy Medical Center and all hospice staff in Cedar Rapids, especially Dr. Cowden and Katie Cavanaugh.We are very grateful.
