Plummer, Mattie J.
Mattie J. Plummer, 70, of 1030 Memorial Dr. SE, Apt. 122, passed away Feb. 3, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy following a long illness. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Iowa Cremation.
Surviving are her husband, Mike R. Plummer; children, Mary Lou Cantrell and husband Mitchel Delarm of Cedar Rapids, Sandy Cole and husband Neil of Perkins, Okla., Robert Kliegle of Stillwater, Okla., and John Kliegle of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mattie Jean Plummer was born Aug. 16, 1940, in Iowa City, the daughter of Kenneth and Mattie (Coons) Sanders. She was united in marriage to Michael Ray Plummer on June 1, 1991, in Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed putting together puzzles and framing them. She was also a huge Elvis fan. Her greatest enjoyment was time spent with family and her beloved cat, Smokey.
Memorial donations may be made to Mercy Women's Center or to Hospice of Mercy.
