Jacquelyn L. Chambers, 79, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in North Liberty, with burial following at Memory Gardens Cemetery. There will be an hour of visitation at the church, prior to the funeral service. Please dress comfortably for Jackie's services. Casual attire is welcomed. Memorials in Jackie's name may be directed to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be shared with her family at www.gayandciha.com.
Jacquelyn Louise Christian was born July 17, 1937, in Estherville, Iowa, the daughter of Melford and Vivian (Bonnicksen) Christian. She attended business school at Mankato State and worked most of her career as a bookkeeper and secretary, more recently at the family business. Jackie married Ted A. Chambers on Aug. 24, 1958, in Ringsted, Iowa. They had been members of Holy Trinity Church in North Liberty since its founding several years ago. Jackie adored her grandchildren and was a very proud grandma!
Jackie's family includes her husband, Ted; sons, Scott and his wife, Courtney, and Todd and his wife, Andrea; her grandchildren, Christopher and Jillian Chambers and Tyler Adams, all of Tiffin; as well as her brother-in-law, Roger Chambers, and his wife, Ellen, of Wisconsin.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters-in-law.
