Another burden for parents of Polk students
The Gazette Opinion Staff

How sad that the families of Polk Elementary School may again asked to make a big adjustment. When it became a year-round school, working parents had to change their day care and all families with children in middle and high school had their lives complicated even more.
Now you say, “sorry it didn't work out. We will (close the school and) scatter your kids all over town and put them in larger classes, but try to stay involved in the PTA and the kids programs and activities.”
Shame. If they needed the extra help of going to school year-round, putting them in larger classes at other school will not serve them well.
We all want kids to get the education that our taxes pay to provide. Don't put another roadblock in their way.
