Staton, Robert Lelan

Robert Lelan Staton, 46, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, in his home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Marion. The Rev. Greg Williamson will officiate. Burial: Spring Grove Cemetery, Troy Mills. Visitation will be on Sunday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa Ann Staton; his daughters, Kayla Staton of Cedar Rapids and Crystal (Ben) Douthart of Mount Auburn; his parents, Robert Lee and Donna Jean Staton of Marion; and a brother, Scott (Doreen) Staton of Onalaska, Wis.

Robert was born March 13, 1966, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Robert and Donna (Thompson) Staton. He worked for Centro Inc. in quality assurance in North Liberty and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Marion.

Robert loved music and played many instruments.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
