Hoffman, Ozella Jane (Stastny)
Ozella Jane (Stastny) Hoffman, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids.Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Burial will follow at Rogers Grove Cemetery, Ely.Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brosh Chapel.
Ozella was born Feb. 25, 1923, in Ely, to Joseph and Laura (Neiderhiser) Stastny.She married Paul Hoffman in 1953 at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids.She graduated form Ely High School in 1942 and Cedar Rapids Business College in 1943.Ozella worked at Collins Radio Co. for 17 years and part time at Manpower Inc.
She was a member of 4-H, Ely American Legion Auxiliary 0555 and Asbury Church.She loved her flower beds, senior dances, tour day trips with her husband and spending winters in Texas and Florida. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Ozella is survived by her nieces, Janine Norman (Lee), Annette Wieneke (Butch) and Judith Hoffman;her great-nieces, Tiffany Ontiveros, Elli Wieneke and Erin Kramer (Rob); and a great-nephew, Brett Wieneke.
Ozella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; a brother, Lloyd; brother-in-law, Lynal Hoffman;and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Ruth and Marie Hoffman.
Memorials may be directed to the Ely American Legion or Ashbury Church.
